Food Establishment Advisory Committee
Chapter X of the State Sanitary Code, 105 CMR 590.020 established a twelve-member advisory committee for food establishments, appointed by the Director of the Food Protection Program.
The mission of the Massachusetts Food Establishment Advisory Committee (FEAC) is to promote
food safety by advising the Director of the Food Protection Program on policies, interpretations, new
technologies and concepts based on sound science, to improve communication between the regulatory
community and the retail food industry, and to encourage uniform application by the regulatory
community and the food industry relative to 105 CMR 590.000 (including the allergen amendment).
