An Emerging Deadly Trend
Waterpipe Tobacco Use

In response to the emergence of hookah bars in many areas of the state, many Boards of Health have been proactive and banned “smoking bars” from operating in their communities. It is far easier to ban “smoking bars” from your communities prior to an establishment applying for an application and a DOR permit, than to do it after the fact. Please contact DJ Wilson (Mass Municipal Association Tobacco Control Program) at (617) 426-7272 or djwilson@mma.org for technical assistance if your Board is interested in going beyond the state Smoke Free Workplace Law and banning “smoking bars.”
Parent Survey
School Health Fairs and PTO nights are great opportunities
to survey parents about their Tobacco Awareness.
The survey file below is a survey from
Berkshire AHEC. Please feel free to
modify it as needed.
