Water reuse is the key to a sustainable program for source water in the future – no matter where you are in the United States, so sort of water reuse strategy is important and necessary. This webinar, presented by one of the country's top experts, will help you learn about what options exist, how to go about implementing them, and what you need to know to evaluate what might work for you where you are. It will focus on what small communities can do regarding water reuse and the options available to them.

Our speaker is Shellie Chard, Director, Water Division, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality.

Shellie Chard obtained her education in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Oklahoma. She has been the Water Quality Division Director of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality since January 1, 2010 and has over 30 years of experience in the drinking water and wastewater profession. Today she oversees drinking water, wastewater, storm water, water reuse, biosolids, operator certification and training and infrastructure funding. In addition to her activities at DEQ she is a WEF Trustee, member of the National Drinking Water Advisory Council and holds leadership positions in:

  • Association of Safe Drinking Water Administrators
  • Ground Water Protection Council
  • Association of Clean Water Administrators
  • Oklahoma Water Environment Association
